What is the difference between slow motion and super slow motion? Common historical uses of slow motion are in television broadcasts of live sports events for instant replays and “super slow motion” analysis of a move of passage of play. Slow motion works best when combined with footage of other speeds, either real time or even speeded up time lapse material. The reason why pcsx2 doesn’t use the GPU as much is due to the fact that GPUs are designed on the hardware level to efficiently run OpenGL or DX code when called upon by Direct X/Open GL APIs, whereas CPUs run x86 code. You can add additional keyframes at any point and adjust them individually, so you get fairly precise control of when the slo-mo starts and stops. It lets you control the speed of the video by dragging points up and down on a line graph. Slow Motion Video FX (Android) is probably the most straightforward option. Test the performance of the application using your preferred game.ĭirectX 10 or OpenGL 3.x supported GPU and 2 GB VRAM.ĭirectX 11 or OpenGL 4.5 supported GPU and 4 GB VRAM.Click “Config” in the main PCSX2 tool bar.
PCSX RUNNING TOO FAST HOW TO
How to Get PCSX Games to Run as Fast as Possible To lower the resolution, select “Plugin/BIOS Selector” in the Config menu. This setting determines how much detail you can see while playing, but a higher resolution requires more system resources and can make PCSX2 much slower.
PCSX RUNNING TOO FAST SOFTWARE
I've run other games in fullscreen with the OpenGL plugin and experienced no problems, such as Granstream Saga, Pong 3D (a graphics hog to be sure ), and Resident Evil: Nemesis.Īny help in solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.PCSX2 is powerful software and needs equally powerful hardware to perform adequately.
PCSX RUNNING TOO FAST PRO
I'm running a MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Memory, with a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB graphics card. Is it something with my computer and not the program or software that can't handle the game in the better graphic mode? With OpenGL, the character models are quite sharp and of better quality than the actual game offered in its original state. The game looks really ugly in that mode though. It doesn't lock up as quickly when I am not in fullscreen and didn't lock up at all (though I didn't play for very long) when I used the SoftGL plugin option instead. Is there any way around this?Įdit: I've got the audio problem solved by disabling CD Audio tracks but the game keeps locking up on me at various points. On another note, when trying to run Nightmare Creatures (the first one) I don't get any background music and when I create an iso from the disc, instead of a single bin file, there are a whopping 26 of them, each with different track numbers that I assume refer to music yet the first one is the only one that plays and doesn't get music. Is there something in the works for PCSX-Reloaded where Gameshark codes would be usable? That's really the only thing missing from what is a great emulator. I've used SNES and Genesis emulators that have the ability to use Game Genie codes.
